Pattern Vision

A pattern is a simple concept, anything more than once. Any item that has a quality that appears more than one time. Patterns are normally visualized where the item that appears more than once has the exact qualities as the other pattern particles. This, however, is the only option when there is one quality that can be contributed to a pattern. If the only quality of an item is its shape, then that item only has one quality that can ever be contributed to a pattern. But what is the point of an idea if it cannot be realistically translated to a situation that can be described accurately through real world scenarios? There is no physical item that only has one quality that can be created into pattern formation. Think of a scene in any metropolitan/downtown area, there are so many different shapes, colors, textures, sounds, and arrangements of shapes that for there to be such a strong collection of possible pattern outlets in such a small place, almost (if not every) item has to have several possible pattern outlets. One item in our metropolitan scene can be the base of thousand of different active and dynamic patterns. We have found that if an item has only one quality then it is acceptable for a pattern to be composed of only quality. While this completely possible, it creates an incredibly tiring pattern as when there is only one quality to a pattern particle, the pattern can only have one quality to it. Quality and quantity are things that have now become completely synonymous with each other, yet they are descriptors of two incredibly different ideas. If the particles of a pattern have the same qualities, they are not required to have the same quantities. This seems like an obvious statement, as patterns are based on repetition and numbers, however the pattern does not need to come from an item multiplying in quantity, it can come from the item splitting into different sections of itself, disintegrating into a larger pattern through smaller particles of itself. Patterns grow in every direction, and patterns can exist in every setting.

Design Definition

The main focus of the Strexx Particle Lab is design. The arrangement of a substance or thought in an order that is not random. It is difficult to designate a single definition to anything, that is putting one view over another. This is great about design and taste, there is not a wrong way to design. Arrangement is completely subjective and declaring the accuracy of one opinion to another is an argument that has no end. But for a minute, let us remove opinion and admire design. We cannot. Design is something that needs opinion to exist. With this opinion necessity, it is also impossible for design to exist without conflict.

Conflict is not a word that means violence, but simply difference. The magnitude of the difference in the tastes possible in arrangements is extraordinary and allows for limitless possibilities. Design has become a word that is associated with aesthetic qualities almost exclusively. Design needs to be known as a quality that is applicable to everything that is conceivable. Design needs to be thought of as an emotion, because until then design is restricted. Do no define design, do not form an opinion and accept design as any idea that you could ever have.

Welcome and Thank You

Welcome and thank you.

This thank you is not for visiting this blog and reading this post. This thank you is for your contribution to the Strexx Particle Lab (SPL). Website + "contribution" generally means an exchange involving money, but not this time. You had no choice but to make this contribution, and you have no choice but to continue making this contribution. This contribution is to the Universal Pattern Movement. Everything is included in the contents of the Universal Pattern Movement. Despite the lack of descriptive qualities in "everything", it is the most accurate word to describe the qualities of a Universal Pattern Movement (UPM) particle. Every item and substance adds to the UPM; this even applies to items that are not (obviously) dynamic. The UPM does not have a fixed definition, just as the particles that it is made up of, the UPM is always changing. These changes are not exclusively improvements, but can also evolve backwards. All the UPM is, is the measurement of the movement that is created from the existence of items, substances, thoughts, and anything that can be recognized. Movement refers simply to activity, physical movement, mental and conceptual activity, and predicted activity — in all disciplines. The Strexx Particle Lab will be documenting as much of the Universal Pattern Movement as possible.

Thank you for your contribution, and inevitable future contributions to the Strexx Particle Lab.
